If you are using static frontpage (`show_on_front`) in WordPress' setting, but `page_on_front` is not set, it is better to fall back to the `index.php` instead of the `template-blog.php`.

By doing so, you can have a separate url for blog, e.g. http://www.example.com/blog but still use the default theme's frontpage (index.php). Otherwise, if you leave out the `page_on_front` in the setting, the posts page is also used as the frontpage - so, http://www.example.com/blog & http://www.example.com is the same.

Code changes:

woo_load_posts_page_blog_template (functions/admin-functions.php )

From:

if ( 'page' == get_option( 'show_on_front' ) && ( '' != get_option( 'page_for_posts' ) ) && is_home() ) {

To:

I bought the theme Estate with support. It is translatable and all options are available to change all the option I need, BUT: The permalink structure of the part where to put in the properties is not customizable, what makes the theme unusable for my German homepage.

The terms in the permalink I need to change are:
- property
- propertytype
- propertyfeatures
- location

I contacted the Woothemes Support (Maria Scrapello): No support for this, because it's "not just a few lines of code". For me it's a significant and basic feature of a theme to localize it and change permalinks. So as a real Woothemes fan I am quite disappointed about this. As the theme costs 230$ with support, paying again for a Wooworker for such a basic feature is not an option for me.

Maybe someone can help improving the theme OR give me tutorial how to change the permalinks.

Recently I had to do a job with very specific type of theme:

The request was for full width background slideshows on each page ( except for front page ). The client has seen this on many HOTEL sites:

I asked woo died they do themes like this, answer was no, not at this time. SO, unfortunately I had to go elsewhere and pony up. I ended up using this from Duotive. I have to say credit where credit uis due, an excellent theme:

I of course, would much prefer to have used or use in the future a WOOTHEME that has these features.

I think a theme like this would be very popular because this background full width/screen slideshow thing is used alot in the hospitality industry.

Basically, be able to register users without them going into the back end of Wordpress, redirected to a user profile page and KEEPING them from going to the Wordpress back end user area.

There is a great need for a good user area integration in themes or user area plugin. It´s not a good idea to use the back end of wordpress for new users. Typically, members plugins are just for paid registration and thus, cost a great deal of money, but there isn´t any good user area / profile theme integration or plugin out there that does this for free or little money.
What is needed in this theme integration or plugin (maybe this could be a free and basic version);
- Customization registration form and log in form
- Redirect to a profile area (it is important for the admin to customize the user area), where the user can put bio, reset passw. even post new posts and follow up on posts they´ve done
- A good idea would be to have a personal messaging system.
- User access control for admins
and probably many other features, just look at the members area on this site (WooThemes) and there you have it (i know it´s Zendesk, but they have it nailed down... well... except for the prices, which is ridiculous!).
A paid version of this could be;
- Option of paid membership
and many other things... the key thing being, not to go wild when charging people for the theme that would have this or plugin (no monthly fees thank you, then this would be useless to me and probably many others).

This theme integration or plugin would go great with WooCommerce :-p

The Simplicity theme is great but lacks control in a couple of desirable areas.

It would be great if you could control the number of thumbnails that are displayed when a gallery is attached to a portfolio post. Obviously the gallery can contain up to 20 images but there is always a row of three thumbnails displayed below the main image and they appear rather large and take attention away from the main attraction.

I would like to be able to pick a different number displayed - say 5 or 6 thumbnails at a time so as to display more images to the users and also so they have less impact against the current large image.

When you have a large portfolio with a lot of items in there it really slows down the page load speeds. In order to speed it up the obvious solution is to have less items loading. It would be nice to have some options in the theme options to allow a certain number of portfolio items per page (in a similar way to you being able to select the amount of slider items displayed). I know this can be done by editing the php templates but that seems a bit of a pain as would have to be done for each upgrade and not as user friendly for us site managers.

I have tried this and found it made the pages faster but the other problem was the filtering which would be my second stage to this improvement.

The filters will only filter by the tags shown on that page but it would instead be much better if the filters were done by the items that exist in that portfolio as well. So if I select 20 images per page on the portfolio and the page begins by showing "ALL" but then I select "Graphic design" or "photography" etc then it would show the latest 20 items from the selected tag rather than just whatever (if any at all) were present on that page of 20 already if that makes sense?

A method to send the e-mails confirmation by default to multiple email address? for example (i have 5 manager accounts, but i want to send the email for orders implicit to 3 of them)

Also for the processing order email, to be automatically send on to the change of the order status (from example: change from pending to on-hold or other combination of this ?
if not possible to add it automatically, at least , add a button near the change of the order status (in backend) - select, that can be checked and let the posibility to notify the user about his order status? (something like: NOTIFY THE USER ABOUT THE ORDER STATUS CHANGE? YES | NO.) - Canbe used the template of Customer_Processing_Order.

the last feature i dont think it can be hard of implement and also it dont need more memory. and it is let to the manager(site admin) choose if he want or not to notify the user.
