  You say this is 'easy', and I'm sure it is if you know what a functions.php is and where to find it. But I don't!

  Me too!
  I don't want to have to add bits of code, as I don't know a thing about it.
  It seems odd that it's not an option, when canvas is meant to be so customisable

  I wrote up a tutorial on how to do it here:

  But it'd be nice if it were in Canvas core! Also, the ad area gets blocked by pop-up blockers.

  Does nay one know what code and where to put it so you can have a R/H widget area in Canvas Theme?
