Right now, with the Listings theme, users registered as "listing contributors" can upload a listing from the front end, without accesssing the WP admin. It would be great if those same "listing contributors" could modify and delete their own listings from the front end, without ever seeing the WP admin.

For example, when they login to upload a new listing, they would also find a list of past listings with the links "modify" and "delete" next to them. When they would click on "modify", they would access the same form as the "upload a listing" form, but it would already be filled out with the info they submitted earlier and they could make changes.

Is such a feature planned in the future?

In the latest version of Canvas (5.10), the developers replaced some images with icon fonts (from FontAwesome) and by doing included elements of FontAwsome's open-source icon font infrastructure in the theme files.

I assumed that meant that I could use other font icons in my theme but it was not the case.

Here is why:

"We load the font files but not the css. We write our own styles to use the icons we need in the theme.

If the user wants to use the markup given in that article to display icons they will need to enqueue that stylesheet in their child theme or just paste it in to their css file."

I would like to propose that font icon support is included in all future themes as it infinite increases the flexibility/power of themes and makes those theme look even better on new Retina displays

As an temporary measure, I have been added a remotely-hosted icon font library (http://weloveiconfonts.com/) to my themes, which is working great.

This was originally posted in the Statua Forum. I was asked to move it here. Most of these are issues that were mentioned early on at the initial release. The theme has a lot of potential but it feels more like a blog with photos than a photo gallery with an optional blog.
Just my Opinion.

Wondering if any of the following are possible inclusions in future versions?

Widgets that are Photo oriented.
Tags for Photos
Excerpts for Photos
Ability to Include/Exclude Galleries/Photo Tags on pages using Layouts A, B or C
Control height of layout A to avoid jumping between Landscape - Portrait orientation.
Option to continue Photos or Posts under the slider on Layout pages (Like Canvas Magazine page)

Listings really needs both a Post Expirator feature and management page for listings.

Currently I use the plugin 'Post Expirator' so I can set a time/date for listings to expire. This way if I sell an ad space for the month of December I can schedule to publish it on the 1st and unpublish automatically at midnight at end of December.

The problem with using that plugin is that it's very difficult, unless I keep a separate spreadsheet, to determine which listings are set to expire. If it was incorporated into the theme itself maybe you can make a column heading when viewing all listings (similar to All Posts) that sorts on expiration date/time.

Without the expire feature the Listings theme is much less useful if a large number of listings are entered. I've set-up a business directory with Listings and each business pays by the month so the expiration feature is essential.
