Any chance for Parallax?
I think it would be great if Flexslider had a parallax effect. :)

I would love to have testimonials running on my front page
On the front page of my webpage I would like slides with testimonials. Actually I would prefer just to be able to add several texts and not confine the testimonials to users of my webpage. Often I use positive feedback from emails that I get from people I have been teaching in person who is not user on my webpage. So if there was a possibility to add this and show it on the slider.
The 'Post' type of the WooSlider does not work here as I would like the testimonials to NOT be visible anywhere else on my page…3 votes -
Customization options to change the look and better online documentation for non-professional web developers
I purchased four different sliders this week to test them all out. Other sliders like RivaSlider etc all have nice easy customization for changing the overall look of the slider. Things like changing or removing the padding, the border or drop-shadow etc etc.
Overall I've been less than impressed. It's the most expensive option that I purchased and in fact has the least options and by far the worse online documentation. Already I've had to contact support with tickets, and use Bountify to get someone else to help me with it. I needed none of those with the other options…

Enable multiple categories to be used in an AND configuration
Right now if you select two categories, it will pull from both.
It would be nice to have this as an "AND" option -- perhaps
Cat 1, Cat 2 == get posts from EITHER / BOTH categories but
Cat 1 & Cat == only posts in BOTH categories.
USE:
Cat 1 = Featured
Cat 2 == Foo
Page shows a bunch of posts from cat == Foo
Slider just shows the Foo posts that are Featured.
Page 2 has Cat 3 == Bar -- shows posts in Cat == Bar
WooSlider shows from Featured & Bar -- now just the…

Drag and drop ordering of the slides.
When viewing the list of all the slides. Being able to just drag and drop the order would make it much easier to know what slides appear when

Pause slider when video plays
It would be really nice if you were to incorporate an option to pause the slideshow if a video (vimeo/youtube) is playing.
It is easy to add a video to the slideshow, and there is already an option for pausing when the mouse hovers over the slideshow, but the additional functionality of pausing the slideshow while the video plays would be great.
It is possible:

Replaced the "featured Slider" of existing themes
Can someone provide instructions to replace the featured slider in say, the woostore theme with this slider? The existing slider on the homepage is very slow to load even after smashing the image file size and this slider looks much nicer.
If you had easy instructions I would buy it to replace the existing slider.
Or can woothemes update the theme to have this slider :)

Retina Display Ready
Retina Display Support would be GREAT! Is that in the radar? Otherwise I'll have customize it myself.. Thanks!
13 votesWooSlider itself is already retina-ready, aside from the graphical elements.
Are there any specific areas of WooSlider that you feel require additional attention to become retina-ready?

Order Attachment Slides by Menu Order
I mostly use the Attachment slideshow functionality from WooSlider to automatically grab the images attached to a page and create a slideshow. It would be nice if the default Wordpress drag-and-drop reordering could be used to change the order of the slides. I temporarily added this functionality by editing the query in class-wooslider-sliders.php to include the "orderby" => "menu_order" parameter.

Featured carousel
I'd like to display five or six thumbnail-sized images across the page, all at once. People could click on one and it would send them to that post.
I am using Canvas, WooSlider, WooCommerce, Groups, Groups WooCommerce.
I've dug through quite a few of the offerings from other entities. I have not yet found anything within shooting distance of the high quality that is typical of the work by WooThemes.

Make a Slideshow Type for Pages with a shortcode option to list page/post IDs. We could mix pages and posts.
Make a Slideshow Type for Pages with a shortcode option to list page/post IDs. We could mix pages and posts, including custom post types. And the link in the slider would link to the full page/post.

More of the options of Flex Slider
Flex slider had more custom options for how the thumbnail nav worked (carousel and its own direction navs).
Plus some easier to manage css would be good-- auto adjust thumbnail margins, opacity, etc.)

Over time, we will be expanding WooSlider to include more of the options found in FlexSlider2. We will be examining each setting with a fine-toothed comb to ensure that it is integrated in the most intuitive and easiest way possible to use. :)

WooSlider : use post thumbnail instead of post image
to have better control on image size. eg for home page slider
14 votesThanks for clarifying. :)
We are exploring options for how best to use the “Featured Image” in the “slides” slideshow type, other than in the “thumbnails” pagination.

Carousel slideshow type
It would be great if there was a carousel slideshow type in the default options. Like this: http://sorgalla.com/projects/jcarousel/examples/static_simple.html
70 votesWe’re looking into this now when planning out the next few versions of WooSlider. While it may not be included in version 1.1.0, we’re hoping to prioritise this as soon as possible.

Show caption and title of an image in the slideshow
It would be great if the caption and/or the title of an image can displayed in a layer over/under the picture in the slide show
55 votesWe will be exploring this in a future WooSlider update, on the “attached images” slideshow type.

WooSlider - Vertical thumbnails
It would be useful to have the possibility to have the thumbnails verticcaly displayed to one side of the slideshow, instead of just below the slideshow.
